GENERAL LINKS
Ontario Highways - Chris Bessert's groundbreaking website featuring general information about Ontario highways. This site, or some incarnation of it, has been around since the mid 1990s.
History of Ontario's King's Highways - Cameron Bevers' website featuring a historical perspective of Ontario's highway system. Includes photographs.
OntHighways.com - Scott Steeves' website devoted to modern route information and photos of Ontario highways.
The Ontario Highwayman - Chris Beach's Ontario highway blog. Features some nice hi-res photos.
The King's Highways Ends - Website showing photos of the termini of select King's Highways. A collaborative effort by Scott Steeves, Dan Garnell, and Mike Witmer.
Steve Alpert's Roads - Ontario Section - An American's perspective on certain aspects of Ontario's highway system. Don't necessarily agree with some of Steve's criticisms, but a great site nonetheless.
DISCUSSION FORUMS
CanRoads - Road and Highway message board for Canada in general. Must be a member to post and view files/images.
OntRoads - Road and Highway message board featuring discussion specific to the Province of Ontario. Must be a member to post and view files/images.
Misc.Transport.Road - One of the original message boards on the internet dealing exclusively with road transportation matters. A general forum, but lots of discussion about Ontario embedded.
GOVERNMENT
Ministry of Transportation, Ontario - Ontario government department responsible for the maintenance and operation of Ontario's highway system, vehicle registration and driver licencing, and personal and commercial vehicle safety.
Places to Grow - Study commissioned by the Ontario Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure dealing with sustainable development. Contains general information about proposed future highways in southern Ontario.
OTHER
changeairportsecurity.org - Website founded by Averill Hecht dedicated to abolishing "ticketed passengers only" security measures at U.S. and Canadian airports.
